3. Place each task in the relevant quadrant.
4. Now you can prioritise and act on the tasks depending on which quadrant they are in. You should:
- Focus on the tasks in quadrant 1, the critical activities require immediate attention.
- Delegate quadrant 2, these tasks are urgent but not essential. Delegate them to someone else or eliminate them if possible.
- Schedule quadrant 3, these tasks are important for your long-term goals. Schedule them for a later time when they won’t interfere with urgent matters.
- Avoid tasks in quadrant 4, they aren’t urgent or important so avoid them or eliminate them if you can.
